ARTIST STATEMENT
Russian and Ukrainian blood runs equally through my veins, although I am deeply French at heart because I have been living in France for more than 20 years. Photography came to me during the first lockdown. My gaze first turned to my own family. Observing my children helps me to find little pieces of myself lost or forgotten during my life. Over the years, I felt the need to dig deeper to find answers to my questions. Each person I photograph gives me a key to understanding what makes us human.
